In addition, unemployment insurance will be introduced in early 2023. This unemployment insurance will apply to employees of all nationalities in both the public and private sectors.

    Driverless cabs and digital modernization

Driverless cabs will be tested on Dubai's streets this year. This will involve very rigorous testing to prepare the cabs for the sometimes somewhat hectic traffic. Then, by the end of 2023, 10 of these automated cabs should even be carrying passengers. By 2030, 4000 driverless cabs are expected to be in use in Dubai. The aim is to significantly reduce the number of traffic accidents.

In addition, the authorities in Dubai have been obliged to offer online services. They have one year to implement the corresponding requirements. The aim is to drive forward the digital modernization of Dubai.
